Water Consumption Optimization Measures

In recent years, we have developed measures aimed at improving not only the management of the water supply network but also the quality of drinking water, including:

Installation of a telemetry system that allows better control of water usage in the Port of Leixões, enabling the swift detection of potential leaks through online monitoring of the entire supply network's consumption;

Automatic irrigation system programming in the landscaped areas at the three units;

Installation of timed faucets in the company's sanitary facilities;

Preparation of quarterly consumption control reports;

Improvements to the physical installation of the supply network;

Water quality control plan for consumption.

In compliance with the defined legislation, APDL monitors the mandatory water quality parameters at five collection points within the port area. One of these points is obligatorily located at one of the water supply outlets in the new Cruise Terminal, with the remaining points distributed across the existing supply branches.
