Porto Cruise Terminal hosts Marinetech 2017

MARINE TECHNOLOGIES WORKSHOP 2017 IN DEBATE AT THE PORT OF LEIXÕES' CRUISE TERMINAL

 

The Porto Cruise Terminal  has been chosen to host the 2nd edition of MARINETECH organized by the Portuguese Hydrographic Institute and the CIIMAR - Interdisciplinary Centre of Marine and Environmental Research.

MARINETECH 2017 takes place between 14 and 16 November and is sponsored by the APDL - Administração dos Portos do Douro, Leixões e Viana do Castelo, Fórum Oceano and Docapesca.

This workshop is conducted for the first time in the Northern part of Portugal under the theme "Observatories and Monitoring Networks" and it is open to instrumentation manufacturers, concessionaires, researchers from different fields of the marine sciences, marine economy operators and other economic agents directly or indirectly interested in the marine environment.

All participants in this workshop are invited to share experiences, successes and drawbacks, criticism, wishes and perspectives of development aiming at the discussing of how to modernize, flexibilize and sustain the networks of on-site observations in an integrated way for all sectors of maritime activity.

The Porto Cruise Terminal houses CIIMAR and nearly 200 researchers daily.
