Port of Leixões promotes strategic investments in China
NEW CONTAINER TERMINAL AND LOGISTICS PLATFORM
RAISES THE ATTENTION OF CHINESE COMPANIES
Portugal's Minister of the Sea, Ana Paula Vitorino, accompanied by representatives of 40 Portuguese port and related companies and industries, was in China for a busy, eight-day visit to concretize Portugal's participation in the Maritime Silk Road.
As part of this Business Mission to China, the Port of Leixões' representatives had the opportunity to present its main strategic investments: the new Container Terminal, which will enable to increase port's capacity to a total of 1.5 million TEU's and also the new Leixões' Logistics Platform.
This Mission to China has included visits to Beijing and Shanghai where seminars were held with Chinese companies with potential investment in various investment projects that will come up in Portugal in the port sector such as Leixões' new Container Terminal and Logistics Platform.
