Port of Leixões Day took place on September 15

Over 27.000 people have visited the port

Orquestra Jazz de Matosinhos and Portuguese Tall Ship NRP Sagres were the spotlight of this year's edition

The 'Port of Leixões Day' took place on September 15th with over 27.000 participants. Among many other activities, the new Porto Cruise Terminal hosted a concert by the Orquestra Jazz de Matosinhos and welcomed the NRP Sagres School Ship from the Portuguese Navy for visits.
The 'Consultório dos Doutores Palhaços' from 'Operação Nariz Vermelho'; inflatables for the youngest; showcooking with the first Junior Masterchef in Portugal Maria Manuel; Meet & Greet with the Portuguese Youtuber SirKazzio and the performance of the Just Breathe dance group were other surprises that the 'Leixões Port Day' has prepared for all visitors.
In addition to the guided tours to Porto Cruise Terminal and to different vessels, boats were available on the pier taking visitors to follow the Regatta of Leixões closely. Simultaneously with the sailing events a nautical workshop was held also at the terminal. All visitors were able to see the Serralves Collection 'A Conspiração das Formas' and the photography exhibition 'Focusing on the Leixões Port'.
Also CIIMAR, whose facilities are located inside Porto Cruise Terminal, opened its doors and visitors were able to visit the scientific facilities and interact with the researchers through activities demonstrating the various projects and research areas underway.

The 'Port of Leixões Day' is celebrated since 2009, making it annually on the third Saturday of September.
