Port of Leixões Welcomes Ventura Cruise Ship

On 29th of April, VENTURA cruise ship from CARNIVAL CORPORATION & PLC and operated by the Britain-based company P&O Cruises docked at the Port of Leixões.

VENTURA is sailing on a 7 night's voyage from the British port of Southampton and calling the ports of Vigo, Lisbon, Leixões and Guernsey returning then to Southampton. The ship arrived early in the morning at the new PORTO CRUISE TERMINAL with 3 142 passengers on board, most of all of British nationality and also 1 178 crew members.

Clearly designed for the British market, VENTURA cruise ship was built by Fincantieri at their shipyard in Monfalcone, Italy. At 116 017 GT, 291 metres of length and a full capacity to welcome 3 597 passengers and 1 230 crew members, VENTURA is the second largest of eight ships currently in service with P&O CRUISES. For sure it is one of the largest cruise ships sailing in Europe.

This is the first of four calls scheduled for this cruise season. VENTURA will return on 23rd of July, on 27th of August and on 28th of October.
