Porto Cruise Terminal welcomed AidaCara's inaugural call

On February 5, the Porto Cruise Terminal welcomed for the first time AIDACara´s cruise ship. She arrived early in the morning coming from Malaga and left the port late in the evening towards the Spanish port of Ferrol.

AIDACara was on its 116-days long World Cruise Voyage visiting a total of 41 ports in 23 different countries on 5 continents. The route was westbound, featuring 1 Transatlantic crossing and 1 Suez Canal transit.

This World Cruise started at Hamburg on October 17, 2017 ending at the same port on February 10, 2018. The majority of the passengers is of German nationality.

Launched in 1996, AIDAcara is the AIDA Cruises' first ever vessel, followed by AIDAvita and AIDAaura in a total of 12 cruises.

As usual, it was held on board an Plaque Exchange Cerimony with Port Authority and AIDACara's Captain and his crew celebrating this first of many future visits to Leixões. Passengers and crew members were also welcomed at Porto Cruise Terminal with Traditional Portuguese Dances and Songs and some souvenirs celebrating this special moment.

AidaCara's inaugural call was the second inaugural call out of 15 schedule for this year.
