Porto Cruise Terminal welcomes the maiden call of the VASCO DA GAMA cruise ship

On November 4, the Porto Cruise Terminal welcomes the maiden call of the VASCO DA GAMA cruise ship.

She is on her 16 days one way voyage from Kiel to Malaga with 380 passengers on board mostly Germans.

This itinerary included Copenhagen, Rotterdam, Honfleur, St. Peter Port and La Coruña before our port.

After Leixões, the ship is scheduled to visit Lisbon, Portimão, Cadiz and Tangier before ends this trip at the Port of Malaga.

The 1993-built Vasco da Gama cruise ship was launched as "MS Statendam" for Holland America Line and before CMV UK (Cruise and Maritime Voyages) was operated as "Pacific Eden" by P&O Australia in the period 2015-2019.

Currently, the ship is owned by Mystic Invest (via the subsidiary Mystic Cruises) and operated by Nicko Cruises (fleet) via Schiffsreisen GmbH.

To celebrate this special occasion, a plaque exchange ceremony will be held on board of the ship with port authorities and ship's Captain.
