The Port of Leixões attended the Seatrade Europe Cruise & River Cruise Convention, the most important european cruise exhibition, which took place at the Hamburg Messe Exhibition Centre, from 22nd to 24th September 2013, in the Portuguese ports stand together with the Port of Lisbon and the Port of Azores. 

Our presence at the show was particularly positive for contacts made ​​with leading cruise companies of Europe. From the meetings we held, it is expected the increase of cruise ship berths in 2014 and the beginning of new cruise companies, next year, at the port.

More than 4,000 participants visited the high-class exhibition where over 250 exhibitors from over 50 nations, including numerous companies new to cruise, showcased their products and demonstrated innovations on the exhibition floor. From shipbuilders to tour organisers and from interior outfitters to entertainment specialists, all relevant segments of the cruise value chain were represented at Seatrade Europe.
