In a very busy Day for Cruises

On Thursday, September 19, the Port of Leixões received the renewed Cruise Ship Funchal, after its reconstruction and inauguration in early August.
 

The Funchal has always been synonymous of elegance among cruises in Portugal.

This renewal, promoted by the entrepreneur Rui Alegre, Chairman of the Portuscale Cruises, place this ship in the luxury segment, now with all the comfort of the most modern ships.

In addition to the transit passengers, will also embark at Leixões about 150 travel agents in a commercial operation of ship presentation to agents in the region. The Port of Leixões collaborated in this initiative with a dedicated reception to the guests of Portuscale Cruise.

On this day, the Port of Leixões also received the Discovery, from the Voyages of Discovery Cruises and the Hamburg, from the Plantours & Partner, this one in turnaround.

Regarding turnaround operations of the Hamburg, it is scheduled the embarking and disembarking of about 700 passengers, mostly Germans. Most of these passengers have pre and post programs, with stays in Porto and Northern Portugal. Others have scheduled flights to Germany through Oporto Airport
