MS AMADEA is owned by Amadea Shipping Company and operated under charter by the Germany-based Phoenix Reisen.

She was originally built in 1991 in Japan sailing at the time as MS Asuka for Nippon Yusen Kaisha.

The ship is on a 18 nights one way voyage from Bremerhaven to Trieste calling Honfleur, Corunha, Leixões, Lisboa, Málaga, Cartagena, Argel, Bugia, La Valletta, Siracusa, Galípoli, Kotor e Split.

Phoenix Reisen served mainly the German market and AMADEA is now sailing with nearly 400 passengers on board.
